Confidence that gifts would be used wisely was one of the reasons Wilma Kuhr chose the Community Food Bank as one of seven beneficiaries for her charitable trust. "She was very concerned for others-more so than for herself," said niece Carol Ann Noon. Her aunt lived locally for the last several years of her life and was glad to be surrounded by family.
According to longtime accountant Don Hartman, six of the seven charities Wilma chose as beneficiaries were local organizations. "She gave a tremendous amount of money to charity each year. She felt very strongly about it," commented Hartman.
