"She was a beautiful lady with a beautiful heart." Paul & Carol's Story

Paul and Carol spent their whole marriage giving back: volunteering together at food banks and churches, preparing community meals and serving their neighbors. When Carol passed, Paul knew how she should be remembered. "Carol was such a giver. She had a huge heart," Paul says. "I give to the food bank now to honor her memory." Paul and Carol supported our work in hunger relief for over twenty years, and Paul is proud to have made the Community Food Bank a priority in his planned giving. "During the pandemic, I would see the long lines for food. And everyone from the food bank was just out there, doing the work," he says. "That's what matters. That's what Carol would do. Just step up and lend a hand to help people." "Providing food to hungry people is an incredible endeavor," Paul says. "The food bank is so highly-regarded and so forward-looking. That's what we always supported. That's what Carol would want." Paul remembers his wife, Carol, by giving back.
